John Edwards / Principal

John has been in the window covering and window industry for over 25 years and has a unique background as it relates to energy and glass.  He has written a series of articles on the topic of fenestration that have been published in several trade journals and contributed to a number of training projects where energy and heat gain / loss are being considered.  He has consulted to Architects, Building Engineers, various utility companies, and developed a training program for the Department of Energy.  An Arizona native, John was Chairman of the Arizona Energy Management Council for three years and was President of a shading consulting and manufacturing company in Arizona.  John also served as Vice President of a national window treatment manufacturer in California, which supplied national chains in every state of the country.  John now resides in Ojai with his wife and children and serves on a committee with the Consortium for Energy Efficiency.  He has certifications from the Building Performance Institute, Lutron, MechoShade, Hunter Douglas, Somfy Systems, and others.

Russ Elinson / Principal

Russ is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the University of Southern California with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.  He has over 15 years of experience in the window treatment industry, working his way up to Vice President of one of the largest window covering manufacturers in the Western States.  In his role as V.P., Russ managed a national sales team, marketing and operations, and was personally responsible for developing the company’s motorization / automation programs.  He also supervised the manufacturing of complex government and commercial window treatment projects that were installed all across the country.  His prior work on the manufacturing side of the window treatment industry provides Russ with a keen understanding of the mechanics and details required to successfully complete residential and commercial automated projects.  He is involved in the design and management of nearly all of Arjay’s commercial and automated projects.  Russ has certifications in Somfy, Lutron, Hunter Douglas, and MechoShade systems.  Russ resides in Oak Park with his wife and sons.

Donna Buice / Vice President, Director of Accounting & Communications

Donna is a former owner and co-founder of the company. She oversees all accounting, internet marketing & communications, as well as day-to-day office functions. In addition to managing the company’s Accounting, Human Resource, Contract and Costco Departments she works closely with John and Russ to gather the latest window treatment news and technology information, so that it can be shared through our website and social media. Recently, Donna received her Master of Arts Degree in Global Leadership. Her extensive background with Arjay’s, as well as her leadership development training, makes her an integral part of the management team. Donna is also a talented interior designer and shares her own insights on color, trends, and ideas through our site. She is a published author and an avid reader and writer. Donna resides in Simi Valley and devotes her spare time to working on national and international humanitarian projects through her local church.

Brenda Andico / Customer Service Manager

Brenda is the friendly voice that you will most often hear when you call Arjay’s, and she has been at the front desk for many years.  Brenda schedules most all of the consultation appointments for the company and directs the majority of installation and service inquires.  She is also our Customer Service Manager and is tenacious about being an advocate for our clients.  Brenda collects as much information about the project as she possibly can when a client calls to schedule a consultation, so that she can match the caller with the most appropriate team member to resolve their design concerns.  Brenda also performs order status follow up and along with George Victoria, receives our product shipments and distributes the work instructions to our installers.  Brenda lives in Oxnard, CA and is an animal lover!

Frank Tafuri / Design Consultant & Field Technician

Frank has been in the window covering industry for over 12 years and is Arjay’s lead field technician.  He has experience in all forms of motorization and automation as it pertains to  window shutters, drapery, blinds, shades, and retractable awnings.  Frank is a former business owner and contractor.  He is involved in designing and installing both residential and commercial window covering projects and is certified in Lutron, MechoShade, and Somfy Systems; he is also a certified Hunter Douglas Installer for all of their product lines.  Frank has not only supervised, but has personally installed, some of the largest motorized shade projects in Southern California and routinely works with building automation integrators to connect our motorized window treatments to systems such as Crestron, Lutron, Control4, AMX, Vantage, Savant, and others.  In addition to his technical acumen, Frank can install and hand-dress elaborate drapery and top treatments.  Frank lives in Moorpark with wife and two daughters.

Evelyne Saul / Design Consultant 

Evelyne is a Certified Interior Designer.   She has extensive training, which included a four-year program where she specialized in color theory and interned with a number of high-profile design firms working with computer aided drafting, lighting, and space planning.  Upon receiving her Interior Design Certification, she decided to focus on window treatments.  Evelyne has completed several notable (and award winning) drapery projects that have been featured in design publications.  She enjoys using her considerable imagination to design beautiful treatments that are also functional in everyday use by her clients.  She also takes pride in staying involved with all aspects of a project from conception to completion – and seeing her designs improve the living spaces where they were applied.  Evelyne lives in Channel Islands Harbor.

Larry Mesa / Design Consultant & Field Technician

Larry is a master drapery designer who can design, build, and install all types of drapery and soft treatments.  As the former business owner of a drapery workroom, Larry has designed and installed thousands of drapery projects.  He has experience designing and building both modern and traditional drapery.  Larry’s unique skill-sets are considered a “dying art” in the window covering industry where it is so difficult to find a craftsman who can not only source fabric and design drapery, but can construct and install drapery as well.  In addition to possessing these old world abilities, Larry is educated and experienced in motorizing his designs and has completed a number of very noteworthy and high profile automated projects.  Several of Larry’s projects have been featured in fashion and design publications.  Larry is a Somfy Certified Automation Expert and has worked with Lutron, MechoShade, Hunter Douglas, BTX as well as other automation systems. Larry lives in Simi Valley with his wife and son. They have a total of four children and two grandchildren.

Angela Saks / Design Consultant

Angela Saks studied Interior Architecture & Design at UCLA and is accredited through the National Council for Interior Design Qualification [NCIDQ]. Angela is a commercial & residential window covering professional with 15 years’ experience. While working with various firms designing commercial & residential spaces she also examined; space planning, lighting design, cabinetry and furniture selection & layout.  She also has experience preparing CAD drawings for her clients.  Angela joined the Arjay’s Team in 2013 after taking some time off to be a stay at home mom, and she delights in utilizing her skills once again and working with clients to create functional and beautiful homes & commercial buildings.  Angela lives in Ventura with her two beautiful children, her husband, and a pug dog named Donut.

Lorelei Korn / Design Consultant

Lorelei studied Architecture, Interior Design and Fine Arts at the Otis Parsons School of Design. She is also the former co-owner of a construction company that built, remodeled, and designed both residential & commercial high profile projects. She made the career shift four years ago to the home decor industry. Lorelei enjoys being invited into homes and offices were she can apply her expertise and design skills to help her clients realize their visions. Lorelei’s clients benefit from her experienced, holistic approach to design. Her creative talents are not limited to interior design work, she is also a published poet and photographer. In her spare time, Lorelei enjoys a number of athletic activities and spending time with her daughter.

Bobbe Nelson / Design Consultant  

Bobbe studied design at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) and has been involved in the window fashion’s industry since 1987. Prior to joining the Arjay’s Team, he managed a large window treatment store in Ventura where he established himself as one the most sought after window covering professionals, supporting Interior Designers and the trade in their design efforts. His skill has earned him the highest certifications attainable with Hunter Douglas. Bobbe’s enthusiasm and interest in bringing his clients’ dreams to life is apparent to anyone who works with him. His creative talents and high energy approach to design work are a welcome addition to the team.

George Victoria / Warranty, Service, & Installation Manager 

With a background in window covering products manufacturing, George understands the mechanics of most all shades, blinds, and shutters.  He is a hands-on manager who spends a good portion of his day in the field working with our clients to address warranty and service issues.  He keeps up with technological advancements through product knowledge seminars, manufacturer factory touring, and other continuing education.  George sees as many of our customers in the course of his day, in their homes and offices, as any member of our Design Team.  He is dedicated to making sure that the clients he is calling on are satisfied and understand how their products operate; he is often times the person most critical in complete customer satisfaction. George and his wife reside in Oxnard.

Renea Teninty / Administrative Assistant & Customer Service

Renea is a graduate of California State University, San Bernardino and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Marketing. Previous to her employment at Arjay’s she worked with several Fortune 500 companies, gaining knowledge and experience in sales, analytics, and customer service. Additionally, Renea is a former business owner in the designer clothing industry. At Arjay’s, Renea assists in facilitating our contract work for both commercial and large residential construction projects. She also is a vital part of the Customer Service and Costco Division teams. Renea resides in Moorpark, CA, with her husband and three dogs. She enjoys spending time with her family and volunteering at her church, which includes leading a marriage ministry with her husband and helping the under-resourced and homeless community.

Karen Bonelli / Contracts & Customer Service 

Karen comes to Arjay’s Window Fashions with over 35 years of experience in customer service in a variety of fields. Before working in the design industry she worked in medical, travel and production.  Karen is the Manager of Contracts, Bonding & Insurance and assists in managing the paperwork for both commercial and large scale residential construction projects. In addition to managing contracts, she assists in scheduling and general office duties. When not working, Karen enjoys spending time with her husband of 39 years and their children and grandchildren. She also likes kayaking, cooking and traveling.
